June Business Tax Deadlines – What You Need to Know Before Summer Kicks In By Rose Group CPAs

business tax due dates June

Before summer officially kicks off, June brings a few important tax deadlines for businesses. Whether you’re a business owner handling things in-house or working with an accounting partner, these are dates you won’t want to overlook.

Rose Group CPAs June 16 – Monthly Payroll Tax Deposit Due

If your business is required to make monthly payroll tax deposits, your payment is due Sunday, June 16—but since that falls on a weekend, the due date is automatically extended to Monday, June 17. This includes federal income tax withholding and both the employer and employee portions of Social Security and Medicare taxes.

Rose Group CPAs  June 17 – Estimated Tax Payment for Corporations

C Corporations need to make their second quarter estimated tax payment by Monday, June 17, covering income earned during April through May. If you’re unsure of how much to pay, it’s a good idea to check in with your CPA—especially if business income has changed significantly this year.

📌 A Reminder on Weekends and Holidays

When a due date lands on a Saturday, Sunday, or legal holiday, the IRS gives you until the next business day to file or pay. That means this year, both major June dates roll to Monday, June 17.

🌪️ Disaster Area Extensions for North Carolina and Florida Clients

Some clients in federally declared disaster areas—particularly in parts of North Carolina and Florida—may have extended filing and payment deadlines. These IRS extensions apply automatically to individuals and businesses in the designated counties. If you’ve been affected by a disaster and are unsure of your status, please reach out to us. We can help confirm whether you qualify for the extended timeframes.

🧾 Any News from the “Big, Beautiful Bill”?

You may have heard talk of a large tax bill working its way through Congress—dubbed by some as the “big, beautiful bill.” While there’s been plenty of discussion and speculation, as of now, no provisions in the current draft impact June business tax deadlines. If that changes, we’ll be the first to let you know.
